KIMONO

This summer we can notice High Street and Designer stores are loaded with kimonos. The Kimono is a Japanese traditional garment. The word “kimono”, literally means a “thing to wear”. Many different types of kimono for different occasions and seasons enable you to choose your favourite one. No matter what style personality type you are, you will be able to find a kimono which will look great on you. For creatives, dramatics, romantics and city chics there won’t be a problem at all, while classics and naturals will have to look a bit more.

Here are some looks which can inspire you this summer.

SUMMER HOLIDAY PACKING

Here are my secret tips for summer holiday packing and looking cool by the pool

personal stylist, image consultantFor most events in life a little planning can go a long way and that goes for your holiday packing too. The last thing you want as you anticipate your well-earned break is a stressful week of packing, then unpacking, then re-packing! Statistics show that it can take us at least five hours to decide what to take on holiday. So, before you even dig out your suitcase you need to draw up a basic list. Write a column for every day of your trip and for each day write down what you might be doing (sightseeing, sporting activity or just relaxing). In each column write roughly what you are likely to wear. This will quickly show you that you can wear the same pair of trousers or skirt, for example, at least twice and that you can pack lighter than you think. Think of your poor partner or hubby at the airport with all those cases!

Get your own way ticket to 70s-ville!

Keep it real and embrace the throwback with the 70s Fashion trend this Summer. Famous icons from the 70s are Sissy Spacek, Joni Mitchel, Cybill Shepherd, Carley Simon, Brooke Shields.. There’s no escaping a certain decade this season, with 70s prints  and chunky platforms currently flooding the high street shops. Earthly tones, paisley printsall and flared trousers/jeans simply scream seventies. Why not add a shot of glamour and you’ve nailed this summer’s hottest look. Think a blousy kaftan, a print slip maxidress or just make it simple and get a pair of the flares and you’ll get the picture.

MUNICH – a city of fashion

Recently I visited Munich in Germany. This beautiful city is really impressive with a lovely architecture and many parks. Munich is called the city of fashion and is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Germany. Very rich with high street and designer stores which can keep you busy the whole day. The most famous international luxury fashion group in women’s designer clothing from Munich is ESCADA, which was founded in 1978 by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley. The company stands out, with its distinctive creations featuring unusual combinations of colours and patterns, exclusive embroidery, and elaborately designed knitted fashions. I felt I wanted to share with you some bits and bobs from ESCADA’s new spring/summer 2015 collection. Hope you will enjoy their new collection and maybe decide to visit this beautiful city and enjoy it as much as I did.
