NEW YOU, SAME WARDROBE

We’re almost four weeks into 2017 and along with the influx of ‘SALE’ and ‘MONEY OFF’ emails, we’re also seeing lots of ‘NOTHING NEW’ messages; people who are shying away from the shops and instead vowing to buy no new clothes, some for up to a year (take a look at one of our favourite sites The Women’s Room for their recent post on this here.)

You may have heard the statistic that most of us wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time; we get into the habit of reaching for the same items time and again, leaving clothes lurking at the back of the wardrobe (some with their labels still on), never to see the light of day.

Pantone Colour of the Year 2017 – Greenery

Every year Pantone select a shade that they feel represents what is happening in our global culture and therefore serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude. For 2017 that shade is Greenery;

“A refreshing and revitalising shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.”

Most shades of green are associated with nature and Pantone’s ‘Greenery’, which is very similar to Apple Green in our colour me beautiful swatches, is a zesty, yellow green tone, making it perfect for those of you who fall into our Light dominant colour category and who have a Warm undertone!

Going back to your boots!

uggIn the UK we just love our boots!

Boots are more than just staple footwear for winter; they can be practical or uber-stylish and are extremely versatile for dressing up or down.

Investing in a couple of pairs will see you through from workdays to weekends to evenings out.

As they are usually a big investment, buying the right ones is essential, simply follow my tips below and you’ll be beautifully booted in no time!

GO LONG?  OR SHORT?

The important thing to remember when buying your boots is not just what fashion is dictating but what suits your personal style and your leg length and shape. It’s so easy to fall in love with a great- looking pair of boots, but are they going to look great on your feet and will they flatter your overall look? The good news is that with such a fabulous choice this season in the sales you will find several styles that work for you.boots
